Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the JCU Men's Soccer Alumni Network website and mobile app (together, the “Site”), operated by The Ruth Group. By creating an account or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

The Site is an independent project run by The Ruth Group. It is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by John Carroll University or its athletic department.

Who can use the Site

The Site is intended for JCU men's soccer alumni and current student-athletes. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with JCU.
• Harass, threaten, demean, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other members.
• Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes another person's rights.
• Attempt to access another member's account or data without authorization.
• Use the Site for any purpose other than alumni mentorship and networking.

Site administrators may review reported content and messages to enforce these Terms and may suspend or remove accounts that violate them.

Your content

You retain ownership of the profile information, photos, resumes, and messages you submit to the Site (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant the Site a limited license to store and display it to other members as necessary to operate the directory and messaging features described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it.

Messaging

The Site facilitates one-to-one messaging between student-athletes and alumni to support mentorship conversations. Messages are not a substitute for official JCU communications and should not be used to share sensitive personal, financial, or medical information.

Account termination

You may stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if your account is no longer eligible (for example, following graduation). You can request deletion of your account by contacting the Site's System Administrator.

Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Advice or introductions made through the Site are informal and do not constitute an offer of employment, an endorsement, or professional advice from The Ruth Group or any Site member. The Ruth Group is not responsible for the accuracy of information provided by members or for the outcome of any interaction between members.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Ruth Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
